Shopping Over to the Jewel!

by admin on October 17, 2011

Okay I was having fun with the title. My Dad is from Greece, and let’s just say he has an interesting take on the English language.  The title is exactly how he says it when he shops at Jewel (or an other store). He also doesn’t dial the phone he “turns it on” and he’s not “bummed out” he’s “bummered out”. Okay I can go on and on the point is myself and my siblings have taken on some of his interesting turns on phrasing…and people tend to look at us kind of funny from time to time!

Jewel:

(4) Mrs. T’s Pierogies BOGO @ $3.49 – Used (4) $1/1 from 10/2 RP
(10) Betty Crocker Muffin Mixes $1.49 (part of buy 10 & save deal) – $1.49 each

(1) Package of  Steak for Sandwitches $5.34 (I forgot to defrost something for dinner so voila)
(2) Prima Pasta’s BOGO @ $4.29 – Used (2) $1.50/1 from Facebook
Bananas – $1.69 – Huh? Where are they? Crap I better go check the car.

Total $27.30 – Used $5/$25 + a crap load of RR’s Total OOP $7.98 which I put on a Gift Card for transferring a prescription! I got a $10 catalina for being a “Loyal Customer” !

Many of the items below are included in the Buy 8 Mix & Match sale!

(4) Knorr Home Style Stock $2.99 each – Used (4) $2/1 from 9/11 RP **

(4) Barilla Whole Wheat Pasta $1.29 – Used (4) $.55/1 from 9/18 SS

Huh…now I have to figure out why the Pasta did not ring up at the $1.29 price as it should have…drat!

** The Knorr Stock is teeny tiny but each package contains 4 little cups and each cup makes 3 1/2 cups of broth so not too shabby!

CVS:

How do you use Menards MIR?

  1. A special receipt for each MIR product will print at the end of your register receipt
  2. Match the corresponding Rebate # to the form at the Service Desk
  3. You will not need to send in your receipt, just the rebate forms
  4. You may send multiple MIR forms in one envelope as long as all are going to same P.O Box
  5. Make photo copies of your MIR forms for your record
  6. Usually takes 4-6 weeks to get your rebate
  7. It comes in the form of a post-card (green and white)…so be on the lookout for it
  8. Use it as continual credit at Menards for future purchases, don’t need to use all at once! You can even buy a Menards Gift Card with it!

Why the aching back? The KC Masterpiece was on the bottom shelf…..way in the back. I swear I had to get into a yoga pose to retrieve them…not the best idea when you have spinal arthritis. I should have asked for assistance but I can be stubborn sometimes!

That’s why you saw fewer posts yesterday! Yes…really that’s all it takes to lay me out….sad? Frustrating? Yes…but I’m used to it!
