Welcome!
About
I’m just a Chicago Mommy trying to stretch a buck! I’ve always been frugal but once I learned to coupon I discovered an online community of others like me who are “addicted to saving”! And we’re having fun sharing our deals, tips and advice with eachother and you!
Saving money has turned into somewhat of an obsession! But, hey I can think of worse vices to have! I don’t know about you but my husband and I work very hard and we choose what we spend our money on very carefully. We want to enjoy our retirement and not have to pinch pennies so that means being careful now and saving as much as we can!
I am first generation, my father was born in Greece and lived in poverty he taught me from a young age that you never know what’s coming around the corner in life so you need to be careful with your money…..and darned if he wasn’t right! He came to this country with a 2nd grade education and $20 in his pocket and went on to own his own home and prosperous business….I really look up to him!
I’m also disabled you’ll hear me mention it from time to time….I’ve long ago gotten over trying to hide it, it’s part of who I am…I’ve been sick all of my adult life and it has made an impact on my “earning potential” to say the least. It’s difficult to hold a job when you can barely walk one day….and be riding 4-miles on your bike the next. Arthritis is like that every day is different and I strive to get the most I can out of each one!
Hope you enjoy the site and find some great deals. If you have any frugal advice or a hot deal you’d like to pass along please feel welcome!

Hey, just found your site. I am in Tx now but I am a graduate of UND. Are you a “fighting Sioux”?
I love your site! thanks for all the great tips and I have been telling my fellow couponers to check it out!
I’m from Chicago! And I’m always interested into finding sites strictly from those that are from Chicago. Just cuz we live in one of the most costly cities in the US. It sucks. Store prices here are little above average, so when I expect something to cost 5 bucks it’s actually 5.97 or something here. So basically all I’m rambing about to say is kudos to u boo.
Well I truly liked studying it. This article offered by you is very helpful for correct planning.
